| | Why an Apostolic Prophetic Conference?
On 31 October 1517, Martin Luther nailed the Ninety-five Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Cathedral as propositions for public debate. With this he activated a storm throughout Europe and initiated the Protestant Reformation. He declared to the Roman Emperor, Charles V: “I am a prisoner in conscience to the Word of God. I cannot retract and I will not retract. To go against conscience is neither safe nor right. God help me! Amen.”
With the Reformation, the Church broke out of the Dark Ages and the restoration of the Church began. But the Church has come a long way since that time and is now ready to position itself for one of the greatest moves of God in the history of mankind. A move foretold by the prophet Habakkuk in Hab. 2:14: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”
For this move of God’s Spirit we need to have our foundations solidly set on the Word of God, or people’s spiritual houses and lives will fall apart. Through several prophetic words God said that everything that can be shaken will be shaken. And we’ve seen an economic upheaval that has shaken every nation and every aspect of society.
Prophets were known as seers in the Old Testament and like the sons of Issachar, they have understanding of the times, to know what God is saying and what we ought to do. Apostles, on the other hand, help in the laying of solid foundations. In Eph. 2:19-20 we read of the household of God being “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets”.
I believe this conference is in God’s timing to help us see and understand this new “Reformation” that is coming to the Church and to every aspect of society. You can’t afford to miss what God wants to tell you in this hour. Nevil Norden
